Promotion for Pepsi and Gizmodo
Maxium Tailgate for Pepsi Max is one of the most successful integrated content programs Gawker Media has ever developed. Starring New York Giants fan Eddy D and his Big Blue Bus, the program encouraged Gizmodo nerds and Deadspin sports geeks to submit their greatest homemade tailgating inventions for a chance to win a trip to the Super Bowl.
I wrote and shot the entire content series. I also developed 12 custom flash and video ad units, plus created 20 sponsored posts. More than 10,000 people voted on submissions ranging from a Lite-Brite-enabled beer pong table to a stone pizza oven in the shape of a Buffalo Bills helmet, eventually awarding the esteemed title of Maximum Tailgater to a man from Arkansas.
When all was said and done, the program delivered more than 66 million impressions.
