You can't open a browser these days without reading some kind of panicked headline about how “work” has changed, how the work ethic of millenials is a total mystery, or lamenting the tearing down of long-established work norms. In my opinion, and many like me who never really witnessed or were part of any type of conventional work tradition, that’s all nonsense.
At least that's the jumping off point for this magazine that I conceptualized, designed and managed. Monday believes that the new world of work and everything it's creating is a beautiful, natural evolution that was bound to happen. In the examples held up by the magazine, the new world of work demonstrates a liberation of the individual to do the work she wants, how she wants.
Monday flipped the conventional, negative, panicky narrative on its head to show the positives: a vast majority of us are living in a beautiful, exciting, challenging, and energizing new world and you should jump in.
